Hi, my name is Stephon Spiegel, and now I am actually in Journalism. I’m glad I finally got in this class after two years of trying to fit it in my schedule. I am now a Senior, God I am old. Anyway, in my last bio I mentioned how I was a future soldier for the U.S Army Reserves and now, after a long and strenuous Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, I am officially a soldier! I plan on going to Fresno State for college and want to apply for their ROTC program and go from Enlisted to Officer.

I love my hobbies!  My particular hobbies being working out, collecting records, writing, and doing anything related to music. I play an array of instruments, I play guitar, bass, trumpet, and ukulele. I make music too! (https://soundcloud.com/stephonspiegel , shameless self plug I know). I love a lot of music and I mean a lot. I’ll list some artist/bands I adore: Black Flag, The Smiths, Nirvana, Joy Division, Blink-182, Green Day, The Beatles, Chet Baker, Frank Sinatra, The Four Seasons, The Misfits, Lil Uzi Vert, Kendrick Lamar, George Michael, The Beatles, and many,many more.

I am also a member of the Pitman Marching Band and have been for all my term in high school, shoutout Mr. Modesto. I love a lot of media too! You’ll often catch me writing articles about entertainment, since escapism is, in my opinion, a very important part of culture and life. Star Wars is something I can legitimately go on forever about and I am not kidding. I am very huge on self expression, as you can tell. Horror movies are also my favorite too, especially slashers from the 70s and 80s. I would describe myself as sarcastic, so take a lot of stuff I say with a grain of salt. Anyway, I am glad to be back home after my eye opening experience at Basic and am especially happy to be writing here again!
