Cancer. A word nobody wants to hear, or be involved with in any way, especially at your doctor appointment. On November 15, 2012, there was a large, grapefruit-size tumor found in my chest, behind my esophagus, between my lungs, and to the right of my heart. Not even one week later, after scans, tests, and biopsies, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Type A Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It has almost been a year since I have been battling with chemotherapy treatments, and I can honestly say that fighting for your life is not easy, and it is definitely not fun. But it is a journey that God has chosen me for and is taking me on. Having cancer is an unforgettable experience with memorable people that I shall remember as long as I am walking on this Earth.
