Emily Ascencio (12th), Editor
Hello humans. My name is Emily Ascencio and I’m a reporter for the Roaring Times. Not much has changed since I wrote my last bio other than the fact that I’m a senior now. This time I’ll get a little more personal and talk about some… unique personality traits I seem to have.
First of all, I have a weird attachment to animals. I like to give animals a different name based on what I think their personalities are like. Don’t ask why because I don’t know either. I like to call seagulls Dave, pigeons Gerald, squirrels Jerry, you get the jist. I also think all cats are evil. I guess evil is a stretch, but let’s just say they’re the “Karens” of the animal kingdom.
Let’s just step away from the animal thing for a second and talk about my slightly more normal hobbies. I love spending time looking at random things on the internet. It doesn’t really matter what it is as long as it’s different and interesting.
I could pretend I’m going to study all I want, but I know I’m just going to end up looking at some weird far-fetched conspiracies. One of the most noticeable things about me is my obsession with fictional characters.
I could talk about them for hours. I will bring up the fan theories, conspiracies, I’ll start debates with someone, anything just so I can rant for the next hour. So if you ever want to start a conversation with me, maybe consider how much time you have.
I have a feeling a lot of my articles will be movie/show reviews for this very reason so feel free to check those out in the future. Anyways, sorry for that very long and random introduction, but I hope I can write about more topics that peak your interest this year.
