The Roaring Times is the online newspaper publication of Pitman High School. While the content is directed towards the students, teachers, and administrators of Pitman HS, it is also for the benefit of the larger Pitman HS community. All contents of the newspaper are produced by the Journalism class and contributing writers from the Journalism Club.

The Roaring Times began in the spring of 2003 with two issues. It has grown in that time to include five issues printed throughout the school year.  In addition to the printed newspaper, we have an online presence: on our website (here), our Instagram page @pitmanroaringtimes, and on Facebook @PHSroaringtimes.

The Roaring Times can be reached via the online portals provided by the website or at Pitman HS, 2525 West Christoffersen Pkwy., Turlock, CA 95382 (209)656-1592. Letters submitted must be signed, but names can be held at the discretion of the staff. Letters will be subject to editing and must be free of libelous material.

The Roaring Times welcomes viewpoints on all matters. Signed letters and articles represent personal viewpoints and not that of the staff.   Unsigned editorials represent the opinion of the editorial staff. All letters to the editor must be signed and may be verified for authenticity. Names may be withheld upon request, but all letters must be signed. Send letters to the address above. The viewpoints expressed are not necessarily those of the Turlock Unified School Board, District Administration, Faculty, nor Staff.  Advertisements placed in this publication are not endorsements. The Roaring Times is a public student forum.
