Curly hair requires special care and work to maintain. Having curly hair is a very expensive dedication.
The market is full with so many brands of curly products to choose from. Varying from many different price ranges.
With people now wanting to embrace their natural curl patterns more than ever, buyers have noticed how many necessities there are for curly hair and how high the prices of curly hair products are.
Curly hair products have been a big staple in the beauty industry, but many consumers feel they are often overpriced. One of the main reasons curly hair products are more expensive than your average hair oil or brush is because of the more expensive ingredients.
Most curly products consist of high quality natural ingredients like argan oil, shea butter, and coconut oil. These are most commonly used in curly hair products to provide the necessary moisture and nourishment curly hair needs. These trends tend to be most expensive, making curly hair products more expensive.
Another reason curly hair products are typically more expensive is the formula process. Curly hair products that are made are usually more complex than your average hair product. Creating a product that effectively defines curly hair, reduces frizz, and maintains moisture requires lots of work, development and trial and error. With this brands invest in this process to make sure their products do what they are needed to do and give the consumer the right results.
Mia Givargis 9th grader here at Pitman says:
“With someone like me with a lot of thick long curly hair, I spend a lot of money on my hair. I say that having curly hair is a blessing but also it’s sometimes annoying and frustrating. Having to buy products every week and spending that extra money. I do think it’s worth all the money to be able to embrace my curls.”
As someone who also has curly hair, I do also think that the products are a bit overpriced for having to use them every day needing me to purchase new products at the end of the week, almost every week.
With curly hair there are not just products you need to buy. Other necessities for curls are some hair tools. Diffusers are used by many curly haired people for drying hair. It’s a type of hair dryer used to help enhance your curls. Also Satin pillowcase and hair wraps can help reduce frizz while sleeping and reduce hair breakage.
When it comes to curly hair, investing in the right products and tools can truly pay off. It’s all about finding what works the best for your unique hair pattern.
