Marvel Versus DC

Marvel and DC are two famous comic brands. More and more people are getting to know about Marvel and DC Comics, including those who are not into comics. Many are Marvel fans, many others prefer DC Comics. We always like to discuss which one is better: Marvel or DC Comics? But this time we have a far more interesting question: What’s the difference between them?

DC comics are more doubtful because half of their heroes are aliens or all of their superheroes are super geniuses like Batman, Atom or Mr. Terrific.The superpowers they had made them a better person and it didn’t just give them more power, it let them reach their full potential as superheros and individuals.

The comics have been known to address social and political problems like immigration (Superman being an illegal immigrant), human rights (Cadmus conducting illegal experimentation on unwilling people), genocide (the mass murder of the Green Martians), power of the government (Suicide Squad), etc.

Marvel is not even with the Magic and the sci- fi as DC they use less magic and more sci-fic. However DC uses as much magic as well as sci-fi. Usually in Marvel these superheroes have only one significant power, in DC more powers the better.

Basically Marvel likes to keep it real. Even though the majority of the superheroes have powers, only some of the superheroes are on their skill. Alternately, in DC others have no powers and are no powers and are more dependent on skill.

Characters in DC are often known for being dark, serious, and brooding; the most famous example of this is the Batman. While, Marvel is known to be less serious, lighter and focuses more on entertainment.

This such a popular question, so why not get some student views on this topic?

An anonymous person here at Pitman said, “ I honestly like both of them… But my favorite is DC because i feel that they understand entertainment better and … whenever i think of superheroes and superpowers the picture of Superman and batman and all the DC characters come to mind.”

Whether you love Marvel or DC, you have a lot to look forward to. There will also be some new movies coming out from both of these universes like:

Spider man into the Spider Verse– it released on December 13, 2018, came out last month but still new.

Aquaman– The upcoming movie has already set high expectations among the fans. The movie released on December 14, 2018.

Dark Phoenix– The movie will be a follow-up to X-Men: Apocalypse. It is releasing on Feb 14, 2019.

Captain Marvel– It will be releasing on March 8, 2019. The movie will follow Carol Danvers’ journey from fighter pilot to Captain Marvel.

Shazam- The movie will be releasing on April 5, 2019. The movie revolves around a young kid who gets the powers of six heroes.

Avengers: Endgame- With Infinity War still on our minds we wait for the next part of the movie. The movie will be releasing on May 3, 2019.

However the real question still remains which one is better. It is a personal preference whether someone likes Marvel or DC more. If someone can’t choose, why stick to one? It can be fun to enjoy the best of both worlds.
