The musical duo Alex and Sierra stole viewer’s hearts across the nation when they auditioned for the hit fox entertainment television show the X Factor. The pair tried out for the show with a folk style spin on Brittany Spear’s seductive single “Toxic”.
Before they began Simon Cowell, judge, asked if they were brother and sister and Alex Kinsely answered, “Well we kiss, so that would be weird.”
It took only those eight words to get the audience all fired up and to make their soon to be remarkable performance that much more meaningful.
Once they began to sing, Sierra Deaton was filled with stage fright and clung onto to her handsome hero as she struggled to get through the song. Kinsley comforted Sierra, who was in a pool of nervous tears and giggles, to assure her she did great. The audience could barely contain their excitement and broke out into a fierce wave of standing ovations, screaming, and applauding.
The panels of judges, Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio, were all filled with this feeling of hope , love ,and happiness all jumbled together that brought some of them and the audience to tears. They all congratulated and eagerly thanked Kinsley and Deaton for their performance and rewarded with them with delighted yeses that advanced them further into the competition.
Alex and Sierra grew strong as a couple and musical artists as they advanced further and further in the competition wowing the audience and judges with every performance. They covered popular songs such as “Say Something” by A Great Big World and put their own quirky twist on famously known songs such as “Best Song Ever” by One Direction. All of their hard work, weird faces, dedication to win the show took a toll on Sierra half ways through the season as she started to become homesick, but managed to pull through with the help of Kinsley.
The couple went on to win the show along with recording contract with Sony music. Although, they didn’t rush into the music studio as quickly as the fans hoped, instead they took a break from the spotlight.
Sierra revealed what their plans were for the show, “We’re going home for Christmas and then coming back out to do our album,”
Alex added, “Yeah, we’re going to come [to Los Angeles] for as long as the album takes, we’re going to make sure that we do it right and do it quick and get it out so people don’t get cold with us.”
The most recent update Alex and Sierra has given their fans was posted on Instagram two days ago reveling their new single, inspired by Simon Cowell himself, “Scarecrow” will be realized soon. There is a rumor that there will be a music video accompanied by the single.
Hopefully the single will be a hit and will make these young and talented love birds more widely known.
