Last Saturday, March 8, Malaysia airlines flight 370 took off around 12:41 A.M from Kuala Lumpur, and was listed to arrive in Beijing at 6:30 A.M, but something went wrong during the flight. Around 1:30 A.M, as the flight was crossing over stretch of water between Malaysian and Vietnam, air traffic controllers, located in a Subang, Selangor Malaysia, and lost contact with the plane
There was no distress signal of any kind given by the flight which is bizarre because in any state of emergency there should be automatic emergency signals sent to air traffic controllers.
Director General of the Malaysian Civil Aviation Department, Azharuddin Abdul Rahman reported “For the aircraft to go missing just like that … as far as we are concerned, we are equally puzzled as well…we have to find the aircraft.”
There are reportedly a total of two hundred thirty-nine individuals on the flight, two hundred twenty-seven being passengers and twelve serving as crew members. It is now known that two men snuck onto the flight, one using an Italian passport and the other using an Austrian passport.
This raises another question, did those two men have something to do with the planes disappearance, and if not what happened to the plane and all of its passengers?
Some people think it was an act of terrorism. Others say the pilot is to blame for the whole incident or the planes itself had some technical difficulties.
David Learmount, Flight Global’s operations and safety editor stated, “Today’s aero planes are incredibly reliable and you do not get some sudden structural failure in flight. It just doesn’t happen. It just won’t happen.”
Many people are being affected by the heart breaking news of the disappearance especially relatives or anyone connected to the passengers. Together they wait in fear and prepare for the worst.
Tom Wood related to Philip Wood who was on the flight revealed, “I know he’s strong. He’s a strong guy and he’s a smart guy and he can survive things, you know, he can survive this. He can survive this, he is surviving this.”
Although all leads that answer Malaysia airlines flight 370 going missing lead to dead ends, people across the nation have hope that the plane and the passengers will show up safe and sound. This will take a miracle, but with the help of other countries and the hopes and prayers from people across the globe this miracle might come true.
