An art or process of producing images by the action of radiant energy and especially light on a sensitive surface; this is the exact meaning of photography. This type of art is very mysterious as is any other type of art but within photography there is different types of views in which they are all realistically taken. Photography can be mysterious, beautiful, sad, confusing, emotional, convenient, and moving but it all depends on the person who controls the camera.
Many of the students enrolled in Pitman High School’s Photography, Graphic Design, and AP Photography contain such art skills like these. The Roaring Times has selected Janae Marable, a senior at PitmanHigh School as Photographer of the week. Marable has demonstrated great skills and creativity in this subject of photography.
“I was 12 when I started growing an interest,” replied Marable when asked how old she was when photography first caught her attention. Photography was brought to her attention when she was looking through magazines because she simply enjoyed how the people in the photographs looked, so she wanted to test herself and see if she could be just as good as the photographers who photographed the people in magazines.
“People who really enjoy what they do in life,” that is what she explained was her inspiration as a photographer. So, in any case, her favorite subjects to photograph are usually people most likely being young children because she likes to capture the most important moments in life like any other photographer would do.
Currently, Marable is involved in all types of projects that help benefit other people for example; she photographs events like birthdays, senior portraits, and contributes her help as a photographer towards the fashion page in the school yearbook. Marable is a great example of a skillful photographer and one day in the future wishes to become a media designer.
