Walking in- it is loud, crazy, and filled with angry, violent people. Black Friday is inherently scary to anybody who is new to it. Fights break out right in front of you over small items like DVDs and video games. People are rude- they push and shove to get where they need to go and they won’t hesitate to hurt you.
“Stay close and don’t let anybody intimidate you,” was the last thing my mom said to me before we walked into Wal-Mart.
I was so scared, but was focused to help find the things on our list. Everyone was going crazy and it was like a madhouse! I started grabbing the pajama bottoms we needed. A lady standing next to me insane grabbing the ones she needed. To this day, I still have the scratches and scars from her cutting my hands.
That lady was so rude and did not even apologize. My fingers started bleeding, but it did not bother me. My sister and I fought our way through the crowds to try to reach my mom who was still shopping. After waiting in line for at least two hours to get in, we were inside still shopping for another hour.
As we were approaching my mom, there was a fight a couple isles down between two men over a video game. Of course we stayed and watched the fight that went on for about 45 seconds until security came. We finished up our shopping and headed to the check-out line.
Finally we left exhausted, but happy that we accomplished getting all of the items on our list. My first Black Friday experience was definitely crazy, but surprisingly fun. If you are thinking about doing it, I think you should try it and find out for yourself what Black Friday really is.
