Oregon and Stanford are two great NCAA division 1 football teams in the PAC 10. Both of these teams are great, but Oregon had the better record before Thursday night’s game. Oregon was ranked 3rd with a record of 8-0, while Stanford was ranked 5th with a record of 7-1.
Thursday night’s game was held at the famous Stanford Stadium. The atmosphere was great for an intense football game.
Both teams played great, but Stanford had an outstanding defensive game, holding Oregon scoreless for 45 straight minutes. Even Oregon fans were impressed with Stanford’s defense.
Oregon’s incredible offense gained some life with 16 minutes left in the game. In the final 16 minutes Oregon scored 20 points with the help of the Duck’s quarterback, Marcus Mariota.
However the Ducks ran out of time, resulting in Oregon’s first loss of the season. Oregon is now ranked 6th with a record of 8-1 and Stanford is ranked 4th with a record of 8-1.
