The 2013 World Series is up for grabs for any team, but there are two teams that stand out the most. Battling for the 2013 World Series title, are the Boston Red Sox, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Both teams include an array of skilled players, which make it difficult to predict the 2013 World Series Champions.
The Boston Red Sox have a regular season record of 97 wins and 65 losses. Boston is a very competitive team this year; however they are a hitting team, so if the opponent has a great pitcher on the mound then their chances of winning are slightly decreased. All of the teams competing for the World Series title have experienced and well rounded players, but the Red Sox have David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, and Clay Bucholtz, legends in their own right. Clay Bucholtz who has an ERA (Earn Runs Allowed) of fewer than 2, and David Ortiz who is known for his ability to smash the ball, are two members of the powerhouse that is the Boston Red Sox. However, the Cardinals have been known to compete well in playoff games.
The other team in the race to the World Series is the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals have been a strong team for the past few years. They even won the 2011 World Series. The Cardinals finished their regular season with a record of 95 wins and 65 losses.
The two teams have almost equivalent statistics. The difficulty of predicting the winner of the World Series is extremely high, especially since both teams are of equal skill level. However, the favorite to win the Series would be the Boston Red Sox.
One can only guess who is going to win the World Series. Out of these two great teams only one can be the champion.
