Pitman High School has many talented musicians enrolled in a band, orchestra, and choir. The Roaring Times has selected junior Edwin Salveson as musician of the week. Salveson has been chosen because of his hard work, dedication and skill.
1.) What is your favorite genre of music?
“Classical because it shows the diversity of music that you don’t hear in pop music.”
2.) What instrument do you play?
“I play the French horn and the violin. The French horn is like a swirly trumpet”
3.) When did you start playing music?
“I have always had an ear for it, my aunt is a music teacher, and my family is involved in music.”
4.) How often do you practice?
“Excluding the hours here at school, I practice up to three hours usually on the weekend or afterschool.”
5.) What inspires you as a musician?
“Anything that is around me at the time, not necessarily literally, but just what is going on in the world.”
