Finding the right place to volunteer to meet the required hours for school can be a drag. With EmanuelMedicalCenter’s wide range of volunteering opportunities you can have those hours accomplished, while doing something worthwhile.
There are a variety of different departments to choose from. Some students prefer to volunteer at the information desk, which is always packed with visitors, patients, and even employees who are asking for help around the hospital. Others would rather volunteer in the maternity ward where volunteers monitor the amount of visitors that go in and out of the rooms. The maternity ward may require less work but many students prefer volunteering at the information desk.
Preet Johal, Junior, a current volunteer at Emanuel Medical Center, stated, “Volunteering at the information desk has been a great experience for me. While contributing to my community, I get a chance to meet new people and accomplish the requirement of hours I need by doing something I love.”
The amount of hours the individual puts in is flexible. It is all based on what coordinates with your schedule. At EmanuelMedicalCenter, there is not a specific time span you must complete.
Regina Amador, the head of the volunteer committee at EmanuelMedicalCenter stated, “I will personally help coordinate the hours you would like in a specific department with the times that best fit your schedule.”
Do not sit around until the last few weeks to cram in those hours. Email Regina Amador today at [email protected] and start volunteering before positions are filled!
Harman Wahid, a former student at PitmanHigh School stated, “Do not make the mistake I did, and wait until the last minute. Chances are you will not be able to find a spot at Emanuel. Don’t procrastinate and contact Regina Amador today.”
