Though a relatively new tradition for Pitman High, the 2nd annual Hoopscoming rally held on January 25th proved to be quite the spirited success. Interestingly enough, the incorporation of a camouflage-inspired Pride and Glory spirit day created a theme of appreciation for military and armed forces—a twist on the usual green and silver color scheme.
With the booming sound of the drum line signaling the commencement of the rally, a number of campus clubs and sports were the focus of the rally’s activities. Representatives of Interact Club, Key Club, Dance Club, PHAST, HYLC, GSA, Relay for Life, GenerationOn, Asian Club, Relay for Life, Peer Interaction Club, Boy’s and Girls’ Basketball, and Wrestling were among many of the rally’s participants.
But what would Hoopscoming be without Hoopscoming nominees? Here’s the list: Hailee Baldwin, Frank Borba, Yanessa Cota, Alex De Chari, Jordan Garcia, George Gonzalez, Christopher Gonzalves, Natalie Guerino, Darryl Hadlich, Debbie Haynam, Tiana Jennings, Regina Kwon, Felipe Laiton, Morgan Loomis, Dominique Martinez, Missy McClellan, Lauren McMillan, Julia Ngo, Pedro Ramirez, Irania Rangel, Hayley Rovito, Liz Segars, Michael Serna, Sheyenne Sousa, Kaliyah Tyler, Juan Villapudua, Bree Wheeler, and Logan Wolfley.
Fast forward a few hours to the Hoopscoming Game against Buhach and we are introduced to our 2012-2013 Hoopscoming PitMan and PitWoman: Logan Wolfley and Morgan Loomis (crowned by Kylie Harvey, 2011-2012 Hoopscoming PitWoman). Congrats to both Logan and Morgan, and all the nominees!
