Ubisoft has gone to great lengths to research the various time periods in which Assassins Creed III took place, and also blended the tenets of various faith and conspiracies throughout history to mold it into a grand epic.
Assassin’s Creed III has only been out on store shelves a short period of time, and for those who have played the game, and those who have not, this game provides history lessons like no one or nothing as before. The story is granted the benefaction of legitimacy thanks to the great magnitude of details that Ubisoft has put into the virtual world of the game. Every little detail concerningBoston,New York, and the whole American landscape seem to be authentic and everything is alive and active at all times.
With out giving away the whole plot of the game and ruining it for the gamers who want to experience it through their own personal game play, Assassin’s Creed III is about an assassin named Connor who aids the revolutionaries such as Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams, and George Washington in their fight against the British. Connor’s hatred for the British is fueled by the Templars who are sided with them. This game gives a new fictional side by incorporating the league of assassins and the Templars in the mixture of history has we know it.
Assassin’s Creed III has unbelievable amount of single layer content- over 30 hours of game play. The fluid combat is full of brutal animations. It has an engaging story that keeps you interested and educated at the same time. Also the multiplayer provides a thoughtful alternative to the standard online shooter. But like every other game it also has a set of cons; from time to time the game doesn’t handhold through the more complicated mechanics. Sometimes the main character gets stuck, which often leads to restarting from the last saved checkpoint.
If you have not played any of the former series, this would be a good one to start with, since it brings a new innovative storyline that can get the attention of any hardcore gamer. The game is worth a definite buy, which can be reflected by the development of the game since January 2010 until its release date in October of 2012(almost three years). The creators made the game map of Boston identical to the 1770’s geographic layout of Boston. Ubisoft brought in an entire specialist team to focus on the water/ocean gameplay, making them exuberant to the gamers eye- the sun reflecting realistically on the moving waters. There are over TWO DOZEN different species of animals in the entire game that you can chase and hunt down.
