The hit show from the 1970’s, “Hawaii Five-O” is back with a modern version. Now starting season 3, not only is it just about solving crimes, but it also has a great storyline behind it.
Steve McGarrett, played by Alex O’Loughlin, decides to make his way back home toOahu,Hawaiiin search of his mother and father’s killers. When he gets to Oahu the governor ofHawaiigives him full permission to start his own task force known as Hawaii Five-O. His team consists of Chin Ho Kelly, played by Daniel Dae Kim, Danny ‘Danno’ Williams played by Scott Caan, and Kono Kalakaua played by Grace Park.
McGarrett and Danno have the goofy, brother relationship. Always messing with each other, but have each other’s back, no matter what happens. Kono and Chin Ho are cousins and look out for each other also. These playful, yet serious detectives come together to stop and solve crimes.
Besides solving crimes, McGarrett is always on the lookout for clues to who killed his parents. He finds out who killed his father, Wo Fat, played by Mark Dacascos. He has a few battles with Wo Fat and finally captures him. McGarrett discovers that his mother wasn’t killed by Wo Fat and is told and proven wrong about his mothers killing by his father’s old friend Joe White, played by Terry O’Quinn, comes to help Hawaii Five-O out and brings news about something called “Shell Burn.”
McGarrett and White work hard and long to figure out what shell burn is. In the last episode of season 2 Joe White finds out Shell Burn is not a what, but a person and in more depth a she. It’s Steve McGarrett’s mother in hiding!
