The Triple Crown has been bestowed to the Pitman High School Volleyball Program. This is the first time that all three volleyballs teams have finished the season in first place. Finishing with an overall record of 41-4, the Pride has accomplished a task that is incredibly hard to do.
Every coach is ecstatic at how well their players did, and head varsity coach Kristen Pontes and varsity coach Paola Inman are eager to see what their team can do in playoffs.
Not only is this the first time that there are three first place teams at Pitman but it is also the first time ever the Pride’s Varsity volleyball team has taken the title, CCC champions, as well.
As they entered their last round of the season two and a half weeks ago, they could not afford a loss. They stayed strong and fought until the last point against their rival team, the Turlock Bulldogs, on Wednesday night. The past two games against Turlock have ended in an overall 7-0 defeat. Since they won on Wednesday they have been awarded the opportunity to host the first playoff game in the gym on Tuesday November 8.
